Connecting Slovenian Entrepreneurs with the Global Ecosystem

Between 14 and 16 September, the three-day international event BRIGHT 2025 took place at Trifolium in Copenhagen, bringing together creators, innovators, and entrepreneurs from around the world. The event positioned creativity as a key driver of economic, social, and cultural impact. Wind Organ® project

The event was attended by Petra Kos, Managing Director of Joinery Kos (Mizarstvo Kos d.o.o.), Centre for Outdoor Living Design (Center za zunanjo ureditev d.o.o.), and Ambassador of the Lesarius Museum. Participation was enabled through the ST3ER project and in cooperation with the Development Centre of the Heart of Slovenia Region, whose activities support the international engagement of Slovenian entrepreneurs.

Competence Development, Networking, and Active Participation

As part of the ST3ER programme, participants took part in a capacity-building workshop led by Andre Abi Awad, a recognised expert in entrepreneurship and professional networking. The workshop focused on effective business relationship building and long-term partnership development.

Additional expert insight was provided by Alen Valla, Advisor at the European Innovation Council and the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA). He shared practical experience in innovation support mechanisms and European funding instruments.

Slovenian entrepreneurs also actively contributed to Creative Roundtables, addressing sustainability, tourism, and other key trends shaping the creative industries. The programme concluded with the Creative Business Cup Finals, featuring innovative creative startups from approximately 50 countries.

Presentation of the Wind Organ® Project

Alongside the main programme, Petra Kos presented the Wind Organ® project, developed within the ST3ER framework. The project explores the intersection of health, art, sustainability, and cultural tourism.

The programme also included a guided tour of the Copenhill sustainable facility and a visit to Reffen, Copenhagen’s largest street food and culinary market. These activities enabled networking with ST3ER project partners and entrepreneurs from Slovenia, Denmark, Ireland, Spain, and Portugal, further strengthening international collaboration.

Impact and Future Steps

The conference was attended by the following Slovenian companies: Center za zunanjo ureditev, hiša idej in povezovanj d.o.o., VANGLOB, potovanja in dogodki, d.o.o.Escapebox d.o.o., DIVINIUM, Andrej Curk s.p., Infinite Pure Solutions, čiste rešitve, d.o.o. Participation provided Slovenian entrepreneurs with valuable international experience, new business connections, and insight into global trends within the creative industries. The initiative strengthens the regional and international network of the Heart of Slovenia area and supports innovation-driven growth in the domestic entrepreneurial ecosystem.
