Introduction: The Path We Write with Wood
Slovenia is a land where forests stretch almost to every doorstep. Where trees tell stories of tradition, and where wood has always meant warmth, safety, and creativity. Today wood is no longer just a memory of the past – it is our compass for the future. At Joinery Kos d.o.o., Exterior Design Center d.o.o., and the Lesarius Museum, we are building the vision of the Wooden Age 2020–2050. It is a vision of an era when wood becomes a central element of a sustainable society, culture, and economy. Become an Ambassador of Wood

At the Bright Conference in Copenhagen, we invite you to step into this future with us – not as observers, but as co-creators. Because wood is not just a material, it is life, relationship, and commitment.
Carpentry Kos d.o.o.: A Heart That Beats with Wood
Every piece of wood that enters our workshop carries a story. With our knowledge and sensitivity, we transform it into unique creations. Canopies, outdoor kitchen, pergolas – that are both contemporary and timeless. Yet the essence is not the product itself, but the relationship. Our guiding principle is to build connections – between people and space, between form and function, between tradition and the future.
Wood is sustainable, but also deeply human. It carries warmth, scent, and touch. When integrated into homes, it becomes part of family stories, memories, and future plans. Our vision is that every piece of wood we shape remains a witness for generations.

Exterior Design Center: Where Nature Meets Home
The outdoors is not just a garden – it is a place where our greatest stories unfold. Picnics, family gatherings, children’s laughter, and the quiet of summer evenings. At the Exterior Design Center, we design pergolas, carports, outdoor kitchens, and other solutions that connect nature with architecture and people with space.
Every carport is more than just protection from rain or sun – it is a symbol of safety. Every pergola is more than an aesthetic addition – it is a space where relationships grow. Our mission is to create environments where people feel connected – to themselves, to others, and to nature.

Lesarius Museum: Wood as Cultural and Emotional Heritage
The Lesarius Museum is our tribute to wood and to the people who knew how to transform it into beauty and utility. But the museum is not just a collection – it is a living space where visitors discover the power of wood in both past and future. It is a meeting point of generations, art and science, tradition and modernity.
Lesarius is designed as a space of inspiration. Every visitor leaves with the thought that wood is not just a material, but a story that touches the heart. Here we aim to nurture the awareness that the future can be built on the foundations of nature and creativity.
Petra Kos – A Leader with Empathy
Petra Kos is an empathetic entrepreneur whose dedication to sustainability, craftsmanship, and respect for wood transcends conventional entrepreneurship. Her work focuses on holistic outdoor solutions, circular economy principles, and the preservation of woodworking heritage. Through three pillars – Mizarstvo Kos, Exterior Design Center, and the Lesarius Museum – Petra creates a space where tradition, modernity, and environmental responsibility intertwine, with ethics playing a central role. “Leading with responsibility, with heart, and with the awareness that together we can achieve remarkable results” is her key to a meaningful and successful life.

Vision: Wooden Age 2020–2050
Our vision is simple yet powerful: in the coming decades, we want wood to become the ambassador of sustainability and human-centered development. Wood is renewable, energy-efficient, beautiful, and healthy. With it, we can address climate challenges, the need for sustainable architecture, and the search for balance between people and nature.
Among our innovative projects is the Wind Organ – a music-therapeutic park, an extraordinary fusion of art, nature, and sound. The tones created by the wind passing through wooden pipes do not only heal the body but also soothe the soul. Projects like this demonstrate that wood transcends utility – it becomes a bridge between technology and poetry, between science and meditation.
As part of the ST3ER project, we are developing a business and financial model for the Wind Organ. Together with our strategic partner, the Development Center of the Heart of Slovenia (Slovenian partner of ST3ER), we are shaping sustainable and innovative regional initiatives. The project enables a structured approach to sustainable management, including investment and social aspects, long-term financial viability, cross-sector partnerships, and innovative funding. In this way, we lay the foundation for the Wind Organ to evolve not only as an artistic park but also as an economically and socially resilient project for the future.

Become an Ambassador of Wood
At the Bright Conference, we invite all participants to join our vision. The Wooden Age 2020–2050 is not just our project – it is a shared movement, where individuals, companies, and communities can all contribute to change.
Our motto is simple: #BecomeWoodAmbassador. An ambassador of wood is someone who, in their life and work, promotes sustainability, seeks innovative solutions, and recognizes that the future belongs to nature and humanity together. With ambassadors, we want to build a global network of creators who will spread wood as a symbol of sustainability around the world. Our doors are open. We invite you to help us build a future in which wood connects cultures, people, and generations. Wood is a bridge from the past to the future – and we invite you to step onto it with us.
